.. David Hendin (Ebay, Apr 2004): "During the fourth year of the Jewish War, the Romans had besieged the Jews in Jerusalem. There was a shortage of materials, and hence for the first time fractions of the shekel were minted in bronze. These are among the earliest examples of "siege money". This quarter denomination is quite rare. The lulab (bundle of palm, willow and myrtle branches) and the etrog (citron) are traditionally used to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, also known as Tabernacles"
